BannerWhat actually is a happy ending ? I mean if all the loose ends are tied and characters getting a good finale a happy ending , or is it a sad one if there is loss of honour & innocence along the way?

BOOK REVIEW ! THE MURDER ON THE LINKS – BY AGATHA CHRISTIE (Part of Hercule Poirot Series)

I’d like to think that If I was as gifted as Hercule Poirot I’d work my ass off for the good of the world, but then if I was Poirot and had a friend like Hastings , I’d probably become the best villain the world has ever seen and would have had killed Hastings after spending one day with him.

Basically , what I am trying to say is ‘Hastings sucks !’

BOOK REVIEW!! The Bonehunters (Malazan Book of Fallen #6) – by Stephen Erikson

The Bonehunters, is the 6th installment in the massively underrated Epic Fantasy masterpiece – Malazan books of fallen, by Stephen Erikson .I can already state that every thing that the previous books in the series were good at ( be it the writing , vast world-building , excellent new creatures , tribes , cultures or characters ) are still very good and improved upon in this book , but beyond that each and every book in this series has delivered more in terms of why that book should be read and adored by more fans and possibly even be recognized as better than many other well renowned fantasy

Time for a shameful admission , ‘I have never read any Agatha Christie books , till now’

jm5ppjo

In my defense, I have no friends or family who read books , and well I started reading with the big fantasies first .

But on the plus side , I have NOT read any Agatha Christie books , so… you know… I can look forward to my future being filled with her many great books .

ARC BOOK REVIEW – The Hidden Face (Fifth Unmasking #1) , by S.C. Flynn

Duplicate-State

So … Disclaimer , I was one of the few lucky individuals who were chosen to be given an opportunity to read and review this book by the author himself, But having had that opportunity has in no way influenced any part of this review . BOOK REVIEW!! House OF Chains (Malazan Book of Fallen #4), by Stephen Erikson

bANNER

Going into this book I expected a few things – a difficult to understand beginning , which later turned into a wonderful narration and finally culminated in a major convergence that really left you satisfied. In regards to those expectations at least, Erickson delivered… for most part.

Book Quotes:

“Wise words are like arrows flung at your forehead. What do you do? Why, you duck of course.”
Steven Erikson, House of Chains

UPDATE!

Just wanted to let people know If they were wondering about my lack of post or interaction on the Blogosphere .

I have been really busy with work and studies (yes I’m still studying despite being a Doctor , since I’m still not a post graduate and ME WANT!) and to add to that I’ve also been diagnosed to have migraine , for those who don’t know about it ,it means I have like intense headaches once-three times a week and sometimes these headaches make me vomit and sometimes strong light or sound makes it worse.

Basically I am unable to find much of a reading time . So much so that I have been limited to reading only on Sundays , it’s presently me reading 100 or so pages on a single day in the week . I’m still managing to read some comics , but that’s easy since it takes around 15-20 minute for me to read a comic .

This lack of reading time and spare time in general has made keeping up with blogging or doing much of anything apart from working and studying really hard for me . Initially I did have plans to post reviews for books I hadn’t posted before or for Graphic novels and comics but again there simply isn’t much time to spare. Bottomline I don’t expect many post from myself in the coming months and while I’ll still be glancing around in the blog-verse and reading a few blog posts here and there , I don’t expect myself to be as active as before .So forgive me for the lack of activity and hope to see your lovely posts and hopefully things will get better for myself

BOOK REVIEW!! Dark Matter , by Blake Crouch .

I have a rule to always try a different genre book right after having read a fantasy book , So soon after finishing The Dark Tower , I got my hands on this book and having heard so many good things about this book , I was truly drowned in the tides of hype of this book and started reading this with a lot of anticipation and a bit of doubt …

Book Quotes:

“Until everything topples, we have no idea what we actually have, how precariously and perfectly it all hangs together.”
Blake Crouch, Dark Matter

dresden-files-banner2

So it’s the first short story that Jim Butcher wrote in the Dresden Files saga , this was the story that Jim wrote to prove to his teacher that her suggestion about Jim writing a Modern Fantasy was a stupid idea , fortunately for him , She approved this story for a book series and now Dresden Files is one of the finest Modern Fantasy out there.
