There’s a easy way for me to figure out when I really like a book. It’s when i realize that I manage to read books bulkier by 500 pages or so and arrive at the end pages thinking when did I finish all those pages?

AMAZEBALLS!! The Drawing of the Three (Dark Tower Book #2) – Book Review

3

I have this habit , whenever I pick a book up I feel a sort of Anticipation , anticipation that the book I hold is gonna be a remarkable journey , Maybe I’ll learn something new, Maybe I’ll be impressed by what’s in the book . Yet sometimes I Dread reading a new book , Knowing that what I have in my hands is gonna disappoint me , it doesn’t happen very often but it did happen when I was intentionally stalling myself from reading this book . But boy do I love to be proven wrong sometimes .

The Good , The Bad and The Ugly – Proven Guilty (Dresden Files #8) Book review

2

So don’t confuse my Blog Title into thinking that in this edition of Harry’s adventure he’ll go on a trip to the wild west and become a gunslinger or something*, what that title actually means is my view on the book which had The Good – overall plot, The Bad – Follow up to the predecessor book Dead Beat The Ugly – Finale of the book

*… although when i think more about it that does sound cool

Teaser Tuesday – 26th July 2016

unnamed

Teaser Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Books And A Beat

Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

My Choice:

For this weeks Teaser I have picked up A Perilous Question by Barry Finlay.

now without further delay

Teaser:

61ywi8mz-slThe first four sheets bore similar information, but the photos were wrong. The height or weight recorded was also slightly different than the dead girl’s. Notes had been made on each entry that the person had a limp. Baker reached the last one and froze in disbelief. The face of the dead girl leaped off the page. He was sure it was the same girl – at least, there was a striking similarity between the victim now lying in the morgue and the girl staring back at him from the page. The image had been cropped from a larger photo. Baker read the description twice, absorbing the information.

-A Perilous Question (Kindle Locations 1944-1948).

Sadly I haven’t started reading this book yet because I am still enjoying Memories of Ice and I know I have been reading this book for weeks, or maybe months, now but what can I say I have never set myself a time limit and frankly I know for sure I never will , and when I am burdened with work and study for my post graduation the reading does get slow sometimes

That said I was kindly provided with a free copy of A Perilous question by the author himself on twitter courtesy of the wonderful people at @booktasters and I expect to start the book sometime around this week and will follow it up later with a review . Meanwhile while recieving this book there were 6 reviews on amazon all positive with 4 people going with 5 stars and 2 with 4 stars so really hyped up for this

My Choice This Week:

Ok so sadly this week i’ll bend the rules of Teaser Tuesday for myself a little , I have been busy with work and preparation for my Post Graduation degree and that has resulted in me getting less time to read and finish the book that I am presently reading , add to that the fact that what I am reading right now is a Malazan book of Fallen , which demands your complete and undivided attention and even that is sometimes not enough to prevent you from going back a few pages and re-read a few lines .

All this has culminated in me being very slow with my current reading progress , hence instead of re-teasing Memories of Ice like last week , I am going to turn to an older book that I had read and have enjoyed in the past – Storm Front , Book 1 of The Dresden Files , The review of the book can be found here

My Selected Teaser :

I don’t want to live in a world where the strong rule and the weak cower.jim-butcher-storm-front I’d rather make a place where things are a little quieter. Where trolls stay the hell under their bridges and where elves don’t come swooping out to snatch children from their cradles. Where vampires respect the limits, and where the faeries mind their p’s and q’s. My name is Harry Blackstone Copperfield Dresden. Conjure by it at your own risk. When things get strange, when what goes bump in the night flicks on the lights, when no one else can help you, give me a call. I’m in the book.

– page progress : 99.5% , Kindle Edition

Book Detail:

as before mentioned and linked you can find my review on Storm Front and 2 other books of The Dresden Files Series on this blog , Dresden Files is a ongoing series of Book that belongs to the Modern Fantasy , Action and Mystery Genre where Author Jim Butcher has created a magnificent world of Magic which works on the basis of Physics , there are plenty of flaws and the starting few books can be hard to tolerate for some but it is a fun page turner series and one of my personal favourite .
