Top 5 Wednesday #7 – 20th September 2016 – Characters you won’t want to trade places with .

Untitled-1

Top 5 Wednesday is a weekly meme from Goodreads, created by Lainey from Gingerreadslainey and now moderated by Sam from ThoughtsOnTomes.

This Weeks Topic:

September 21: Characters You WOULDN’T Want to Trade Places With
–We always talk about how cool it would be to be a character in our favorite books, but who would you not want to trade places with?

This week’s topic is a bit tough for me , Because although I can easily choose 5 characters I won’t want to be , it’d be hard to explain my reasons for that without going into spoilers . That said here’s me trying still and hopefully succeeding .

My Choice :

This week I have chosen The Yorkshire Biryani . by Vikram Venkataragavan.

The Yorkshire Biryani is the Debut of author Vikram Venkataragavan , where he pictures a world where instead of the British Empire ruling over countries like India for a couple of centuries it’s the other way around with India ruling over much part of Asia and British empire.

I was grateful enough to be chosen by the author to review his book and have started reading it since the weekend , hopefully I’d have positive things to say about the book .

My Teaser:

32019188“Steve looked at the man again and recognized him as Uncle William. He was wearing casual western clothing and had a strong British accent. He covered his face with a cloth and threw a crude bomb to the other side . With that , the famous battle of Westminster had begun.”

-The Yorkshire Biryani , by Vikram Venkataragavan (page 39, Kindle edition)

There’s a easy way for me to figure out when I really like a book. It’s when i realize that I manage to read books bulkier by 500 pages or so and arrive at the end pages thinking when did I finish all those pages?

AMAZEBALLS!! The Drawing of the Three (Dark Tower Book #2) – Book Review

3

I have this habit , whenever I pick a book up I feel a sort of Anticipation , anticipation that the book I hold is gonna be a remarkable journey , Maybe I’ll learn something new, Maybe I’ll be impressed by what’s in the book . Yet sometimes I Dread reading a new book , Knowing that what I have in my hands is gonna disappoint me , it doesn’t happen very often but it did happen when I was intentionally stalling myself from reading this book . But boy do I love to be proven wrong sometimes .
